End of an era as Mass Vaccination Centre shuts its doors

The Mass Vaccination Centre at the Lincolnshire Showground is preparing to give its last covid vaccinations and shut its doors after more than a year of constant operation.

Since it opened in early 2021, the site at the Lincolnshire Showground – one of two Mass Vaccination Centres in Lincolnshire – has played a major part in the county’s covid vaccination programme.

“What the team at the Showground have achieved is truly phenomenal and I want to thank all of them who have been involved over the last year or so for making such a difference to the lives of so many people,” comments Rebecca Neno, Director of Covid and Influenza Vaccination Programmes, NHS Lincolnshire CCG.

NHS Lincolnshire Engagement Bulletin

Help shape the future of Lincolnshire’s Mental Health Rehabilitation Services!

Lincolnshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust (LPFT) is inviting service users, patients, carers, partners and the general public to attend engagement sessions taking place in various locations around the county to discuss Lincolnshire’s mental health rehabilitation services.

The events will provide people with an update on current services, as well as an opportunity for attendees to have conversations to share views, experiences and ideas to help LPFT provide and develop the best mental health rehabilitation support for people now and in the future.

We have organised an online event taking place on Monday 28th February, 2.00pm to 3.30pm via MS Teams and three face to face events taking place in March:-

  • Tuesday 22nd March, 10am-12pm – Alive Church in Lincoln
  • Wednesday 23rd March, 10am-12pm – Boston United Football Club, Wyberton, Boston
  • Thursday 24th March, 10am-12pm – Jubilee Church Life Church in Grantham

Help shape the future of Lincolnshire’s mental health rehabilitation services

Members of the public are being invited to attend engagement sessions to share their views on mental health rehabilitation services in Lincolnshire.

Lincolnshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust (LPFT) would like to talk to service users, carers, partners and the general public to hear their views, experiences and ideas to help LPFT provide and develop the best mental health rehab support for people now and in the future.

Heather Barr, Service Manager for Community Rehabilitation Services at LPFT explained how important it is to hear people’s experiences. She said: “We would love to hear what people think of existing rehab services, their views on how we could make things better, and what is most important to people who are already using services, or who may use them in the future.”

Immunosuppressed people now able to book booster jabs online

Immunosuppressed people aged 16 and over in Lincolnshire are being urged to take advantage of now being able to book their covid booster online using the National Booking System.

With effect from Monday (31st January), the National Booking System has been updated to allow booster bookings to be made online by anyone aged 16 and over who is immunosuppressed, provided it is at least three months since their third dose.

“This is great news for anyone who is immunosuppressed, since the ability to book boosters online makes it even more convenient for anyone aged 16 or over to be able to access what is a very important vaccination,” explains Rebecca Neno, Director of Covid and Influenza Vaccination Programmes, NHS Lincolnshire CCG.
